ABOUT AR GURNEY
American playwright recognized for works including Love Letters and The Cocktail Hour. He won the PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation for Theater Award.
He studied at Williams College and the Yale School of Drama.
He was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2006.
He was close to his parents during childhood.
He later studied at the Yale School of Drama, just like contemporary legend Meryl Streep .
