ABOUT AARON SORKIN
American film and TV writer and producer best known for creating the TV series The Newsroom and The West Wing . He wrote the screenplays for the critically acclaimed films A Few Good Men , The Social Network and Moneyball .
He graduated from Syracuse University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre.
He created the NBC series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip , which aired from 2006 to 2007.
He was married to Julia Bingham from 1996 to 2005. He has a daughter named Roxy.
He cast Jeff Daniels in the lead role for the HBO series The Newsroom.
