He played for Malaysian Under-19, Under-20, and Under-23 teams before being promoted to the senior team.
He played for a Portuguese third division team from 2012 to 2013.
His family lived in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia at the time of his birth.
He joined the Malaysian Super League in the same year as Baddrol Bakhtiar .
