ABOUT ALAN COHEN

Founder of generic pharmaceutical concerns and owner of the NHL's Florida Panthers from 2001 until 2009.

He gained a fortune founding Andrx Pharmaceuticals and Best Generics Inc.

He began racing and breeding horses in 2003.

His father inspired his love of horse racing, taking him to the tracks when he was younger. He moved to Florida with his wife Karen.

He and Ralph Wilson were both owners of professional sports franchises.
