ABOUT ALASTAIR MACKENZIE

Scottish actor who is best known for his role as Archie MacDonald in the BBC drama series Monarch of the Glen in 2000.

He attended Westbourne House School and Glenalmond College in Perthshire and moved to London at the age of eighteen.

He co-founded Sigma Films with his brother, director David Mackenzie .

He had two children with actress Susan Vidler, his longtime partner.

He also appeared on the BBC drama Psychos alongside Douglas Henshall .
