His first Instagram post was on June 14, 2016, and was a photo of him standing in front of the Seven Sisters cliffs in Sussex.

He earned degrees in advertising and PR from Benedictine University in Chicago and UIC Barcelona. He runs the travel blog and YouTube channel Fonsi Abroad.

He has a younger brother, Alejandro. For his birthday in 2017, they traveled to Greece together.

He is friends with fellow TikTok star Ralph Leng and the two have traveled together.
