ABOUT ALMOEZ ALI

Professional forward and winger that was signed by the Al-Duhail Sports Club of the Qatar Stars League in 2016. He has also made appearances of the Qatar national team as the team's captain. In 2019, he and the Qatar national team won the Asian Football Confederation Asian Cup Championship after defeating the Japanese national team.

He began his youth career playing for the Al-Mesaimeer Sports Club in 2003.

During the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, he scored nine times during the duration of the tournament, which was the most in the cup's history.

Prior to moving to Qatar as a child, he was born in Khartoum, Sudan where lived with his mother.

He played against Maya Yoshida in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
