He began his career as a hair stylist in November 2012 upon founding his Hype Hair brand. He was working in restaurants, and after taking his sister to a hair appointment one day, found himself fascinated with the art of styling.

He has earned more than 1.5 million followers to his personal Instagram account. He was profiled by Galore Magazine in October 2016. As well as creating looks for Cardi B , he has also notably worked with Remy Ma , Kehlani , and Keke Palmer .
