ABOUT AMI KAWAI
Japanese television and theatre actress who became known for her role as Marsha in the television series Kidou Keiji Jiban and as Scorpina in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
She was born into a family of actors and joined Gekidan Komadorishe theater company as a child before going on to study English Literature at Jissen Women's College.
She has also been involved in teaching the Japanese traditional dance, buyo.
Her mother is actress Rie Kawai and her older sister, Katsumi Fujita, is an environmental designer who helped design the sign for Park Hyatt in Seoul, Korea.
Her role as Scorpina on the American television show, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was also credited to the voice of the character Wendee Lee .
