ABOUT ANDRE ALEXIS

Novelist who rose to fame for his series The Quincunx Cycle. The second installment, Fifteen Dogs, was released in 2015, and won the prestigious Giller Prize.

He began his writing career as the playwright-in-residence for the Canadian Stage Company.

He won his second ever Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize in 2019 for his fifth Quincunx Cycle work, Days by Moonlight. He won the Trillium Award in 1997 for his first ever novel, Childhood.

He was born in Trinidad and Tobago, and grew up in Ontario, Canada.

He was shortlisted for a Toronto Book Award alongside Margaret Atwood for his novel Fifteen Dogs.
