ABOUT ANDRE VENTURA

Portuguese politician, attorney, and lawyer who is known for being the founder and leader of the right-wing Portuguese political party Chega "aka Enough." He is also known for running for President of Portugal and for his political advocacy work.

He became very involved in the Catholic church and its relative faith teachings as a teenager. He spent a year studying to become a priest, but he quit because he fell in love. He then attended law school and worked as both a lawyer and as a soccer commentator before focusing on politics.

He is a supporter of S.L. Benfica, a Portuguese soccer club. He is the author of two novels called Montenegro (2008) and The Last Dawn of Islam (2009).

He was born André Claro Amaral Ventura. He was born and raised in a working-class Lisbon suburb in Portugal. He married Dina Nunes in the year 2016.

He is an admirer of Mariano Rajoy .
