ABOUT ANDREW FOWLER
American religious leader who was a 20th-century African American pastor and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree by Lynchburg Seminary and College in 1960.
He had his first job assisting a white farmer in putting down fertilizer for cotton.
He received a high school diploma in plumbing in 1933.
He married Henriette Roberta Hatter in 1944 and they had four children.
He met George Washington Carver at the Tuskegee Institute in the late 1920s.
