ABOUT ANDY WHYMENT
English daytime TV veteran who played Kirk Sutherland on Coronation Street in over 550 episodes. He is Artistic Director of award-winning theatre company, Squint.
He studied acting at the Laine Johnson Theatre School before having his first acting role in 1993.
He also acted in The Royle Family and Once Upon a Time in the North. In 2003 he won an award for Best Comedy Performance for his role in Coronation Street .
He married Nicola Whyment in 2007; the couple has two children, Thomas and Hollie.
He has co-starred in Coronation Street with Brooke Vincent from 2004 to 2013.
