ABOUT ANGUS WILLIAMS
New Zealand rugby union player who plays in Scotland for the Edinburgh Rugby in the United Rugby Championship. Williams' primary position is prop.
He attended St Paul's Collegiate School in Hamilton. While studying for two bachelor degrees, one in physical education, exercise, and sports science, and one in science nutrition, at Otago University, he played over 100 games for the university's rugby club.
Before moving to Scotland, he had been helping out at the Otago Academy as a nutritionist, and working part-time as a teaching assistant at Balmacewen Intermediate School. He landed in Scotland in late spring of 2020, during the midst of the lockdown.
He was born and raised in the coastal town of Whitianga in New Zealand's North Island. His mother was born in Edinburgh and raised near Dumfries, where his grandparents still live.
