ABOUT ANN HAMILTON
American visual artist best known for her prints, photos, sculptures, and multimedia art installations. Her works included "the event of a thread" from 2012 and "lignum" from 2002.
She studied at the University of Kansas and at the Yale University School of Art.
She received a MacArthur Fellowship and numerous other awards and saw her work exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
Her family was residing in Lima, Ohio, when she was born.
She and Eleanor Anin were both prominent artists who paid particular attention to engaging the senses.
