ABOUT ANN-KATRIN BERGER

Professional soccer player who became famous as a goalkeeper for English club Chelsea FC . In November 2018, she received her first call-up to the Germany national team. In 2019, she co-founded the Judan Ali Football Academy known as JAFA based in London.

At the age of four, she began playing soccer, As a teenager, she moved to FV Faurndau. She played as a striker, midfielder and defender. She switched to the goal at the age of 16.

In November 2017, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. On 4 February 2018, she made her first appearance after being diagnosed in the Fourth Round of the 2017-18 FA Women's Cup. In August 2022, she announced she was suffering from thyroid cancer again.

She was in a relationship with her Chelsea teammate Jess Carter .

In January 2019, Chelsea manager Emma Hayes signed her to the team.
