ABOUT ANNE ROUSE
English-American poet known for works such as Sunset Grill, The School of Night, and Timing. She published a fourth collection, The Upshot: New and Selected Poems, in 2008.
After attending the University of London, she worked as a nurse and as the director of a mental health organization.
Her work was published by many prestigious journals, including The Atlantic Monthly, The Independent, and The Guardian.
She was born in Washington, D.C. and eventually settled in East Sussex, England.
She was inspired by the work of John Milton .
