Born into a famous family, she was raised riding on the coattails of her father, the lead singer for the soul group The Main Ingredient.

She has dabbled in acting, appearing in episodes of The Shield, Everybody Hates Chris, and Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.

Born to singer Cuba Gooding Sr. and Shirley Sullivan, she has three brothers. Cuba and Omar are actors while Tommy is a musician.

In 2013, she had a small role in Life of a King alongside her brother, Cuba Gooding Jr. , and Dennis Haysbert .
