Petersburg, Virginia native who rose to fame as the mother of top 40 R&B performer Trey Songz . She is known for having worked as a juvenile probation officer in Baltimore, Maryland.

She attended Virginia State University.

She and her son Trey Songz donated Thanksgiving turkeys to all of the families in their old neighborhood.

She is the mother of two sons including recording artist Trey Songz. Trey's father's name is Claude Neverson Jr.

Both she and Tina Knowles had children who would go on to be top 40 recording artists.
