ABOUT ARNULFO ARIAS
Doctor, writer and former three-time President of Panama who never finished any of his terms due to the military coups that rose up against him. His tenures as President was often marked by widespread corruption and authoritarian rule.
He studied Medicine at Harvard University.
He ran for President one last time in 1984 when he was 83 years old and would have won in a landslide had it not been for the voter fraud and manipulation.
His brother Hormodio Arias was also President of Panama.
He was the Panamanian President for most of Franklin Roosevelt 's tenure as President of the United States.
