ABOUT AVONTE MADDOX

Veteran NFL cornerback that was originally taken as a fourth round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2018 Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college football at the University of Pittsburgh . Following his 2017 season, he was named the ECAC Defensive Player of the Year.

He was a three-sport athlete while at Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School. In addition to football, he also played baseball and basketball.

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during week two of the 2018 regular season. He recorded one tackle in a 27-21 Eagles loss.

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Detroit, Michigan area. He is one of four siblings.

He played alongside Darius Slay during Super Bowl LVII.
