Soul and rock singer whose 1971 album The Baby Huey Story: The Living Legend became crucial to the formation of hip-hop music. The album was released posthumously, as he passed away from a drug-induced heart attack at the age of just 26.
He played in a band called The Vets in high school and moved to Chicago at age 19.
He suffered from weight issues throughout his life as a result of glandular disorder and weighed more than 400 pounds shortly before his death.
