ABOUT BARIS BAKTAS

Actor and singer most highly reputed for his portrayal of the role of Baran Karabey on the dramatic television series Kan Çiçekleri. For their performances on the show, he and co-star Yagmur Yüksel received a Golden Star Best TV Couple Award nomination from the Turkey Youth Awards in 2023. He has also starred in feature films such as the 2021 horror movie Ceberruh and the 2022 horror film No: 26 Ölüm Çigligi.

He commenced his acting career with leading roles in theater and stage productions such as Sınır and Ağaçlar Ayakta Ölür. He made his on-screen debut in the role of Pecheneg Commander for the war film Malazgirt 1071.

He is a graduate of the Istanbul Commerce University's Department of Accounting, where he received training in his performance skills as well as combat choreography. He also learned skills such as horse riding, sword fighting, and action in front of the camera.

He is married to his wife Gülüm Baktaş. The pair can be seen together in videos posted on his self-titled YouTube channel.

Can Yaman and Kerem Bursin are also well-known Turkish television actors.
