Ben Thatcher
ABOUT BEN THATCHER
Left back in the English leagues who played with Ipswich and Charlton Athletic and was a member of the Wales national team from 2004 to 2005.
He played in the Sunday League in London, then joined the FA's School of Excellence in Lilleshall.
In a 2007 game against Portsmouth, he hit an opposing player, Pedro Mendes, with his elbow; Mendes required hospitalization and serious treatment, and Thatcher was disciplined by both his team and the FA.
He was born in Swindon, England.
Marcus Stewart was another great soccer player for Ipswich Town.
