Country singer and guitarist who is the son of country music legend Merle Haggard . He played lead guitar in his father's band The Strangers.

He recorded a cover of Kris Kristofferson 's song "Help Me Make It Through The Night" and posted the video to his YouTube account in 2013. The video received over 170,000 views.

After his father's death, he shared a touching tribute to his dad on his Instagram account which received over 680,000 likes.

His mother was his father's fifth and final wife, Theresa Ann Lane.

He mourned his father's passing as did country music star Toby Keith .
