Keyboardist and singer known for his 1981 funk album Nard and his follow albums up through 1990.
At only 13 he was offered a tour with Lenny White and was playing with Tom Browne by the time he was sixteen.
He attended Fiorello Laguardia High School of Music & the Performing Arts alongside novelist Carl Hancock Rux and rapper Slick Rick .
He was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Influenced by his mother, a singer, he quickly joined the music scene.
He has appeared on recordings with musical greats like Bobby Brown .
