American football player who gained renown as a defensive end for the Cleveland Browns . He was also notable for running an evangelistic prison ministry. He passed away on December 5, 2021 at the age of 86.

He played college football for Baylor University .

He founded Bill Glass Ministries in 1969.

He was married to his wife, Mavis, for 60 years. The couple had three children together.

He was friends with American evangelist Billy Graham .
