ABOUT BILL HAMID

MLS goalkeeper who joined D.C. United in 2009 and helped the team win the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup in 2013.

He played in the D.C. United Youth system from age 17 to 19 before making his pro debut with the team in 2009.

He was promoted to the United States national team's senior squad in 2012.

He was raised in Annandale, Virginia by immigrant parents from Sierre Leone.

He joined Landon Donovan on the U.S. national team in 2012.
