ABOUT BILLY NELSON

Son of iconic country music singer Willie Nelson . He died on Christmas Day 1991. Three years after his death, his father released a duet they had recorded, called "My Body's Just A Suitcase For My Soul."

He was born William Hugh Nelson, Jr.

Just prior to his death, he and his father were compiling a gospel-inspired album with several father and son duets.

His mother was Martha Matthews. He and his wife, Janet Caldwell, had a daughter, Rae Lynn. He was raised with two sisters.

His half-brother is musician Lukas Nelson .
