ABOUT BOB PAISLEY
Defender who played for Liverpool from 1939 to 1954 and went on the manage the team from 1974 to 1983, winning Manager of the Year six times.
He played youth soccer for Bishop Auckland.
His father Sam Paisley was a miner.
He was married to Jessie Paisley until his death in 1996.
He served as an assistant manager for Liverpool under Bill Shankley from 1959 to 1974.
