Although he also appeared on the Australian television show Bushwacked!, this actor is most famous for his childhood role as Nullah in the 2008 Baz Luhrmann-directed film, Australia. The performance earned him a Satellite Award and a Chicago Film Critics Association nomination.

Before beginning his acting career, he survived a childhood bout of leukemia.

He auditioned for Australia after meeting a talent scout at a swimming pool in his hometown.

He grew up in an Aboriginal family in Broome, Western Australia.
