As a teenager, her biggest source of fashion inspiration was tumblr. She studied at Central Saint Martins in London.

She started her online account posting images of herself and her wardrobe featuring designers such as Rick Owens , Helmut Lang , and Ann Demeulemeester. She has earned more than 230,000 followers on her brendahashtag Instagram account.

She grew up with a single parent.

In 2016, she interviewed Virgil Abloh for her bachelor thesis on the business of hype.
