ABOUT BRENT SEVERYN

Former defenseman that played for the Florida Panthers , New York Islanders , Colorado Avalanche , Anaheim Ducks , Dallas Stars and former NHL franchise the Quebec Nordiques over his 13-year career. Post retirement, he began working as a TV NHL hockey analyst.

His professional hockey career began in 1984 when he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets .

He scored 10 goals and 30 assists in 328 regular season games during his career.

He is a native of Vegreville, Alberta.

During a 1998 match against the Dallas Stars he opposed Craig Ludwig .
