ABOUT BRIAN POOLE
Singer best known as the frontman for the 60's bands The Tremeloes and its later incarnation, Brian Poole and the Tremeloes. The band's 1963 cover of "Twist and Shout" sold over one million copies.
He met the rest of the Tremeloes at Park Modern Secondary School. The band covered songs by their favorites artists, like Buddy Holly .
He and The Tremeloes auditioned for and were signed by Decca Records instead of The Beatles in 1962.
He has daughters named Shelly and Karen.
He and Troggs singer Reg Presley were both members of the 60's supergroup The Corporation.
