ABOUT BRIAN RUSSELL

NFL safety who played with the Houston Texas and Jacksonville Jaguars. He led the NFL in interceptions in 2003.

He played quarterback in the football powerhouse Bishop Amat High School in California, winning the CIF Division I title his senior year.

After the Minnesota Vikings made him a full-time starter in 2003, he recorded at least one interception in their first six games.

He had two children with his wife, Leslie, a former track athlete.

Matt Kalil was another outstanding defeseman for the Minnesota Vikings during his time with the team.
