Actor known for his recurring roles on television as well as his feature film appearances. He is best recognized for having played Jackie on the series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as well as Doug in the 1990 feature film Jacob's Ladder.

He first started his acting career in 1984 when he starred as Vince Hood in the film The Cotton Club. He gained further attention in 2001 when he landed his first recurring role on the series Gilmore Girls where he played Bootsy.

He is known for having won the Best Ensemble award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2019 for his role on the series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel .

He was born and raised in New York City. He has a son named Sean and a sister named Claire.

He accepted his Screen Actors Guild award in 2019 alongside co-stars Michael Zegen and Tony Shalhoub .
