She also writes in-depth accounts of her journeys, along with tips on experiencing the outdoors with children, on her eponymous blog.

She grew up at the base of the Wasatch mountain range in Utah and studied neuroscience at Brigham Young University .

She is a research scientist who has worked at the Eccles Institute Of Human Genetics.

She married Patton Murray in September 2017. Her son's name is Huck.

She and Savanna Tate are both family-oriented Instagrammers from Utah.
