ABOUT CAMILLE ROSE GARCIA
Los Angeles-based artist who's considered part of the "lowbrow" movement. She works in various mediums . She works in several mediums including paintings, prints, sculpture and toys, and she has works hanging in the The Resnick Collection, the San Jose Museum of Art and the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art).
She was raised in Anaheim, California and has cited Walt Disney as one of her artistic inspirations.
Her work has been numerous magazines including Juxtapoz, Rolling Stone, and Modern Painter, and she's illustrated two children's classic books, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Snow White.
Her father was a Mexican activist filmmaker and her mother was a muralist/painter.
In November of 2013, she was part of a four-woman show called "Black Moon" that included work from fellow artists Jessicka Addams , Elizabeth McGrath and Mairon Peck.
