He spent his youth career with Saint-Etienne from 2000 to 2003.
He appeared in 23 matches while on loan with Metz from 2005 to 2006.
He was born in Lyon, France.
He and Abdelmoumene Djabou both debuted for the Algerian national team in 2010.
