ABOUT CATHY SHIPTON
English actress who is best recognized for having played Lisa "Duffy" Duffin in the BBC series Casualty. She is also known for having played Midwife in the Spice World movie and for having played Dulcie in the 1990 series Little Sir Nicholas.
She originally studied two languages and journalism and after discovering her passion for acting, she enrolled in the Rose Bruford College from 1977 until 1980. Her career as an actress started in 1985 when she played a receptionist in the series Hold the Back Page.
She is known for having starred in a double show, Sweet Revenge and Joking Apart in 2005 alongside Linda Armstrong.
She married fellow actor Christopher Guard and together they had a daughter named Tallulah.
She starred alongside Derek Thompson and Jane Hazlegrove in the television series Casualty.
