ABOUT CéSAR GóMEZ

Spanish goalkeeper who spent 20 seasons in La Liga, playing in more than 400 matches with clubs like Valladolid, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. He won 7 league titles with Real Madrid and earned his only cap for Spain in 2000.

He played youth soccer with Plasencia and Valladolid before playing with the Valladolid B team starting in 1991. He made his first-team debut in 1993.

In 2011, he became just the fifth footballer ever to play in a top division Spanish match over the age of 40.

He was born in Coria, Spain.

He was teammates with fellow goalkeeper Diego Lopez in Villarreal.
