He performed on stage when he was 12 years old in a production of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Early in his career, he made guest-appearances on the shows Southland and House M.D. While living in Florida, he realized that moving to Los Angeles, California would go a long way in helping realize his dreams as an actor; he and his family moved to L.A. before he graduated high school.
He has brothers named Shane, Ty, and Tanner. His father played professional baseball.
