African-American singer who has become a J-Pop sensation since appearing on the reality show Nodo Jiman Za! World, releasing Platinu-selling albums like Heart Song. At the 28th Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards, he received the award for Best New Artist of the Year.

He developed a fascination with Japanese culture as a child and moved to Tokyo at age 24. He then became the singer for the rock band Nikita w/Metallic Beasts.

He set a record for non-Japanese male solo artists by spending 5 straight weeks in the Top 10 on the Oricon Weekly Charts.

He married Hitomi Fukunaga in 2013. He has a younger half-brother and an older sister.

He sang the duet "Yume Ga Samete" with J-Pop superstar Seiko Matsuda, mother of singer Sayaka Kanda .
