Though he sang on and off throughout his youth, it wasn't until he saw an Ed Sheeran concert that he resolved to become a singer professionally.

His X Factor audition performance of an original song in honor of his late brother earned more than 4 million views within a month of it's release on YouTube.

His brother passed away when he was a child. He has a younger sister.

On The X Factor UK, he received yeses from all four judges, Simon Cowell , Sharon Osbourne , Nicole Scherzinger , and Louis Walsh , during his audition.
