ABOUT CHRISTINA OITICICA

Brazilian neo-concretist and eco-artist known for leaving her works of art outdoors to be finished by the elements.

She divided her time between southwestern France and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her first exhibition chronicled her journey along the Path to Santiago de Compostela.

She chose Saint James Way as the site of her studio because it was the path taken by many spiritually oriented pilgrims from around the world.

She married the spiritual author Paulo Coelho in 1980.

She and her artistic contemporary, Schim Schimmel , both created works of eco-art.
