Christopher Morely
ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MORELY
An American journalist, fiction writer, and poet, he is known for his popular novel, Kitty Foyle (1939), which was adapted into a film. He is also famous for Thunder on the Left (1925) and The Haunted Bookshop (1919).
After graduating from Haverford College and New College, Oxford, he worked at Doubleday.
He published a 1912 poetry collection entitled The Eighth Sin.
He raised one son and three daughters with his wife, Helen Booth Fairchild.
His 1939 novel, Kitty Foyle, was made into a feature film by director Sam Wood .
