Child actor best known as the voice of the character Linus Van Pelt in several "Peanuts" TV specials.

His first role was in A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1965.

His final role was on Friday Night Lights, as a waiter.

He was survived by wife Sara Straton and daughters Nicea and Teal Straton-Shea.

He appeared on an episode of Friday Night Lights opposite Taylor Kitsch .
