He had his first prominent role on The Andy Griffith Show, appearing in five episodes from 1962 to 1964. He played Smokey in the 2024 film Terrifier 3 .
He was married to his first wife from 1986 to 1987 and later got married to Melanie Howard on October 29, 1995.
