Genre-busting and supremely talented vocalist whose popularity soared upon joining forces with will.i.am on the electro-pop song "It's My Birthday" which quickly hit #1 on the UK Official Singles Chart.

He met will.i.am when he was 14 years old. Will signed him to his label and the two established a mentor and apprentice type of relationship.

He attended the Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School and spent a large part of his childhood singing, acting, and dancing on stage.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was raised in a musical family. His mom was a jazz vocalist while his father is a "rocker kind of guy."

After seeing an Usher concert at the age of 10, he knew he would make it as a singer right then and there.
