ABOUT CONOR TOWNSEND

English soccer player best known as a defender for clubs like Hull City and Grimsby Town. He began playing for Dundee United on loan from Hull City in 2014.

He was born in Hessle and played for the Hull City youth squad before making his senior debut in 2011.

He was named Young Player of the Season by supporters of Grimsby Town in 2011-12.

He lived with his parents in Blundell Park even after turning professional.

He has been teammates with midfielder Paul Paton at Dundee United.
